Assistance with fair hearings for those who have been denied benefits. A Fair Hearing is a chance for benefits applicants to tell an Administrative Law Judge (from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, Office of Administrative Hearings) why they think a decision about their case made by a local social services agency is wrong.
Provides free and confidential prescreening by phone or at various agencies regarding eligibility for SNAP. Assists member programs with providing referrals to SNAP and other government entitlement programs.
